What types of garage doors are compatible with this sensor?
The Frontpoint garage door sensor works with all types of garage doors, as long as they move up and down. Rolling doors and swing-up doors are both compatible. However, because the sensor detects up and down motion, a door that opens forward like the door of your home will not work with this sensor.
The sensor works via a ball bearing that detects motion, so even a small amount of movement within the door will trigger the alarm.
